Welcome

Welcome to the Intersectional Health website! This is a research hub for understanding, exploring, and engaging with intersectional health research.

As the world grows more diverse, it’s essential that research on health and inequality evolves too. Intersectionality is a critical lens for understanding how complex, interwoven social factors like race, class, gender, and age significantly impact an individual’s life chances and outcomes.

This website is intended as a resource for those interested in intersectional health research, whether theoretically, methodologically, or from a policy and practice perspective. It also a source of information for those wishing to understand and apply the ‘MAIHDA’ approach to quantitative intersectionality, which you can read more about using the menus above.

Please get in touch if you have any questions or suggestions.
